Yes, I was there on the steps of the State Capitol protesting this unjust law meant to take away parent rights, MY RIGHTS!   When my children were little they got vaccinated per the CDC schedule. It wasn’t until my son fevered every other week for six months, and diarrhea for a year, that I realized maybe, just maybe, it could be the vaccines. I remember asking my dr. about this, and she quickly negated any idea that that could have been the problem. I was never given any information on the vaccines, nor their side effects.  Even several visits to Stanford did not yield any information for my son’s condition.  I stopped his vaccines, much to my dr. ‘s dismay, and slowly he came out of it. At subsequent visits she kept on gently reminding me that he needed to get back on schedule, but I kept on pushing it off. It wasn’t until she started to get “not as nice,” and tell me in front of him without his MMR shot, he would be sterile.  Hmmmm, she is trying to scare me, I thought…  Have you heard this story before?  I have, too many times.  We were able to opt out of the chicken pox vaccine, and gratefully all of my children got it naturally, but under the law SB277, it is mandatory.  Why?

Here is some information about the chicken pox vaccine from the National Vaccine Information Center:

Chickenpox Vaccine

  1. There are two live virus vaccines for chickenpox licensed in the U.S.: Varivax and ProQuad (MMRV) manufactured by Merck;
    The CDC recommends children get a chickenpox shot at 12 months old and a booster dose between 4 and 6 years old;
  2. Reported complications from chickenpox vaccine include shock, seizures, brain inflammation (encephalitis), thrombocytopenia (blood disorder), Guillian Barre syndrome, death and infection with vaccine strain chickenpox or transmission of vaccine strain chickenpox to others;
  3. Chickenpox vaccine effectiveness is reported to be 44 percent for any form of the disease and 86 percent for moderate to severe disease;
  4. Mass use of chickenpox vaccine by children in the U.S. has removed natural boosting of immunity in the population, which was protective against shingles, and now adults are experiencing a shingles epidemic;
    In 2006, the CDC recommended a booster dose of chickenpox vaccine for all children and a shingles vaccine was licensed and recommended for all adults over age 60.
  5. As of September 1, 2015, there had been 122 claims filed in the federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) for injuries and deaths following chickenpox or varicella vaccination, including 8 deaths and 114 serious injuries.
  6. Using the MedAlerts search engine, as of September 30, 2015 there had been 3,358 serious adverse events reported to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) in connection with chickenpox and varicella-containing vaccines since 1990. Over half of those serious chickenpox vaccine-related adverse events occurring in children six years old and under. Of these chickenpox-vaccine related adverse event reports to VAERS, 161 were deaths, with over 60% of the deaths occurring in children under six years of age.

I want you to pay particular attention to #’s 2, 5 and 6.  Do you want your child to be a science experiment?  And that is just one of the shots. There have not been studies done looking at the cumulative affect of all of these shots!!!!  I’m shocked and saddened that the reality we live in again and again puts profits over people.

From Dr. Mercola’s blog :

The United States requires infants to receive 26 vaccines (the most in the world) yet more than 6 U.S. infants die per every 1,000 live births. In contrast, Sweden and Japan administer 12 vaccines to infants, the least amount, and report less than 3 deaths per 1,000 live births.

Today, half of all U.S. children are chronically sick with asthma, allergies, learning disabilities and other illnesses such as autism and epilepsy. That’s 32 million U.S. children who are sick all the time, every day. As Barbara Loe Fisher said in a Memorial Day commentary for vaccine-injured children, it wasn’t like this when my generation was growing up. And it just makes you wonder: how is this possible in the United States a decade into the 21st century?

What’s different since 1960,

When the U.S. was 12th in the world in infant mortality?
How did we slip five spots in just five years, between 2004 and 2009, from 29th to 34th?
Why do 1 in 6 kids have a developmental disability – a 17 percent increase between 1997 and 2008 alone?
Why does 1 in 63 have autism? Why are sudden infant death rates – SIDS – still the leading cause of death for infants under age 1, even with the back-to-sleep program that was touted a few years ago as being the answer to SIDS?
And since U.S. children now get 49 mandated doses of 14 vaccines before the age of 6 – compared to NONE mandated in 1960 – it seems only reasonable to ask if vaccines have anything to do with all this.

Right, I think it is a reasonable thing to ask, and so does the producer of the movie, Vaxxed. A documentary made to show corruption at the CDC. It is not anti-vaccine, more so vaccine education. Don’t  you think it is odd that you cannot hold the vaccine manufactures responsible for their products?   Instead it’s taxpayers that need to pay out money for vaccine injury.

 Seriously?

You get what I am saying? I thought vaccines were good, both my husband and I were vaccinated, of course it would be good for my children, because the CDC says so. Pay no attention to the fact that some of the top doctors at the CDC are actual board members of pharmaceutical companies. Are you kidding? No, I am not!  Check out the movie, Vaxxed, if you want more information. Here is a snapshot I took at the movie’s screening  of what you can do:

So my original idea for this post was to tell you where I am at right now. But I thought I had to give a little background. Right now I am confused as to what to do because I thought my 7th grade daughter was protected with her IEP, ( Individual Education Plan) and now just a few weeks ago, I was told that her IEP was not valid for an exemption because she doesn’t have it for all day, she just has it for one class. This was not specified in the original bill, nor on the website, Shots for School,  but rather it was interpreted by the health department.  Unfortunately it is the schools that have to do the dirty work because in the spring I dropped off her vaccination records with her IEP, and it was good. The health department waited until the bill was enacted July 1st, and started to notify the schools.  Now with a few weeks to go before school starts, it is not good, and I am scrambling to find a doctor that might be able to write her a medical exemption. These doctors are hard to find because they are being targeted as well.  I am hoping that we can prove that she has the MTHFR genetic mutation, ( her brother and I both have it as well) that affects her ability to detoxify and the fact that both of my parents have autoimmune diseases, that she will be given one. But I am not sure if this can happen, and in just a few weeks because school is starting.

There was a lawsuit filed just last week, (that incidentally I was almost a plaintiff because of the discrimination, but because we were off the grid last week, I did not get to sign the final declaration) that lists many plaintiffs, and hopefully the judge will grant an injunction and let my daughter go to school. It goes to court August 12th.

I have been a homeschooling mom for the past nine years, and I want her to go to school for the experience.  But if I have to, I will continue to homeschool her or we will pack the moving van and head out of dodge…I mean California.
